Ever since its inception, mechanical has been one of the most sought after branch of institute. To cater to the diverse needs of today’s industry, it provides the students with Diploma In Mechanical Engg., with specialization in the following fields:-

1. Machine Tools Operation and Maintenace

This branch lays emphasis on the industrial process. This course equips the student with knowledge and skills in the field of machine tools and their applications in industry. Leading ways like automation in today’s field are taken up thoroughly.

2. Welding and Sheet Metal Technology

This field is devoted to sheet metal and various welding techniques. The course gives the students a firm foundation in sheet metal and the know how to apply the various welding techniques used in the industry. Along with conventional welding, the automated welding has been under extensive study.

3. Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning

With rapid industrialization and rise in the standard of living, refrigeration and air conditioning is crucial for maintaining conducive working and living conditions. The curriculum is designed to meet the ever-changing needs of the mechanical industry. This, in turn, requires the students not only to have excellent knowledge of their core subjects, but a good understanding of the ever-changing needs of the industry also. The department is proud to posses some of the most well equipped labs and workshops.

The department of Mechanical Engg, has the primary objective of producing quality engineers.
